Auto Memo frequently asked questions
How do I start recording a voice memo?
Tap “Start Recording” on either the app or in CarPlay, or in CarPlay you can also say “Start Recording”
How does the append feature work?
You can add additional audio to an existing recording by tapping the ‘+’ Append button. This will allow for seamless continuation of audio memos.
Can I share my recordings?
Yes! Tap the Share button on the audio recording drop down menu to send via email, messages – iCloud sync will ensure files are shared between devices running the app, but use sharing to push recordings outside of the app to other applications.
How does silence detection work?
The app monitor for extended silence during recording and automatically prompts you with a message asking if you wish to continue. You can respond ‘yes’ or ‘no’. In addition you can adjust the silence sensitivity within the app’s Settings.
What if the app isn’t recognising my voice commands in CarPlay?
Make sure that your CarPlay microphone is working and Siri is enabled for Auto Memo. If issues persist restart the app on your phone, restart your car’s infotainment system and please try again.
Is there a limit to how many recordings I can save?
No, Auto memo allows unlimited recordings with no time limits – only limited by your device’s storage capacity.
Is Auto Memo a subscription service?
No! Auto Memo is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions or hidden fees, buy once and get updates forever!
